I was flying the regular Mobius yesterday in 15km/h gusting 20km/h winds with the A30-28S and APC10x5E at 250watt at the Hoods-up Flyers Burnaby lake fly-in in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I let an accomplished pilot Eric Heemskerk (Canadian F3J team 2002) have some time on the sticks and within minutes he was completing 600ft long knife edge passes hands off! No wonder Mikeygp can pull off those 'sick' knife edge harriers. Seriously, name another plane that when setup well requires no aileron, rudder or elevator input in knife edge passes. It got the attention of several F3A pilots who wanted something to keep in the car for practicing F3A sequences. I can't imagine how the Mobius could be better. Fellow FG pilot 'Leblanc' put the Mobius through its paces with some precise rolling circles, smooth sequences and level KE circuits.

Mine should be here today or tomorrow. Probably won't get to many pics of the build since I am going to try to get it finished for after-hours flying at the BigBird fly-in I am going to this weekend.

Mine's done! Sorrry, but no build pics - I was scrambling to try to get it done in one afternoon, but came up short. It took about two afternoons. AUW is 22.3 ounces. Had a minor issue with the orange vinyl - apparently they got a hold of a bad batch. They sent me a new set (still in the mail), but I got antsy so I painted it. It's just a lunch hour throw-together, but looks pretty good, no?

By the way, I am running the A30-28 with a 10X5E and pulling 308 watts for the first 5 seconds, and leveling off at around 300 - still 200+ watts per pound which is what I like!

Flew it today! Drops like a rock inverted with the CG at 3". Anyone else find this, or are you further back on the CG? Power settings don't seem to change things, so I don't think it is a thrust issue. Beyond that, it is a fun plane and I like it!
