Sweet! Hovering

My 33% Ultimate with a ZDZ 100 NG turning a Menz 27x10 prop and it goes vertical on just half throttle.I have difficuilty hovering it still at one quarter throttle.,it climbs.Please give instruction.Thanks.

throttle curve might help. Burn more gas.

If it still climbs at 1/4 throttle, use less throttle. You will actually find that you need to modulate the throttle quite a bit to maintain a hover or torqueroll, as control inputs add drag and can cause the plane to drop, and often require blips of throttle to get the desired response - at least this is what I have found.

Use less throttle if it still pulls out at 1/4 throttle. Also, try to use small inputs as most of us when we began, overcontrolled the plane . . .

put a slightly smaller prop on it or reduce (narrow n thin) the one you have a little bit
The idea is just to change the engine power band up a little bit - making it easier to juggle the throttle n power
then practice
running that engine in mid to higher 6000 rpm makes it easier to use- cools better etc..

I'm with Dick, we always run a 26x10 here and it seems to be the happiest prop for the ZDZ 100NG. It ill give you the best of both worlds.

Thankyou Guys.I try 26X10 prop and burn moooooore gas. Now I dare hovering at 30 feet above ground level.I need toburn barrels of gas before the rudder can touch the grass.And before that I hope I don't need to drill holes on the ground with the tru turn.
