i will weigh it tonight when i get home as i have completed it but not yet flown it. also a side note. my crrc pro 50 screams like a raped ape.lol, the friend i let maiden my extra with the 50 said it was the only plane than when the nose was pointe to the sky it gained speed. lousy maiden as the ball end fell off the throttle arm and had to fly the plane for 30 minutes at 1/4 throttle till she ran out of fuel....

dyna thrust 20 x 8 cant tell you as i didnt have a chance to tach it (should have done it) plan was to get it in the air trim it and re check everything before going back up. will be doing on sunday. only reason it was with the dyna thrust paint stick as i was looking for a base line. i will invest in a good prop as soon as i get some good refrences.
i will give you some advice so you dont go thru what i did. even tho the factory says the 50 and 26 ignition is the same it isnt. my dealer set me straight as i was having issues with a bad ignition module on my 26. i asked the factory and they said sure it will work. well...moved it to my 50 and spent a day trying to strt it. after chasing my stick and getting caught in a few kick backs i asked again. well to my suprise they were wrong.the problem is that the paper lable on the ign module is paper and falls off easy. my suggestion is you mark the box with perm marker.also careful on removing the velocity stack. make sure you properly plan your spacers as it is very easy to pull the threads out of the plastic manifold.also i found a warped intake block on the 26. put it on a piece of glass with a sheet of 600 grit wet paper and did the figure 8 drill until it was flat. problem solved.

Ken it would be a good idea to put an optical kill switch on the plane so you would not have to fly around for 30 minutes waiting for gas to burn. They are really quite cheap and easy to install and use.
Glad the flight went well for you however.

that is going to be a piece i will add to all my gas planes. i will not go thru that again. ironicaly one of our mentors flys a pt17 stearman with a g26 zenoah. he has a 24 oz tank and he had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago and his flew for 45 minutes. if he didnt like the plane so much i think he would have ditched it as 45 minutes is like an eternity....

full up no fuel 11.5 i feel i can safely drill the legs to lighten them or go to a carbon gear and replace the monster screws (FOR THE GEAR)that come with the plane and save close to 12 ounces. i used very little epoxy when putting it together. only in the tail. anywhere else i used ca and white glue. i am flying specktrum so the reciever is small. i did change the hardware to 4-40 and carbon covers on all the control rods.and i made my own flying wires of 2-56 top and bottom of the stab/el.

I went flying today.
I can't say enough about this GF26I.
I am very very pleased with it.
My rpm's gained some more today. Same prop and no touching of the needles.
Turned the APC 17 X 6 today @ 9340 rpm. Thats another 150 rpm from the last time it was out.
I have run larger props on it, but it ( mine ) comes to life and is at it's best with the APC 17 X 6.
I now have unlimited verticle.
It sipps gas, I flew three flights ( 15 minutes each, with a timer ) and only used about 5 oz. of fuel on each flight.
I do lots of wide open verticles, loops and level flight and at 5 oz. for 15 minutes of flight, you won't here me complain.
It is tuned perfectly, great reliable idle, super transition, and 9340 @ top! Without a pop anywhere from idle to top end.
I have a Fuji BT43EI that I was gonna put in my Great planes Super Stearman, but I might go with the GF26I instead.
Anyone interested in a Fuji?

I turned some standoffs down on the lathe for my mounts.
I mounted the ignition on top os the stand offs and the ignition battery next to the fuel tank.
