Two different modelers with the same plane and engine.
The one that I am using is a Great planes 3 1/4" yellow spinner which has an aluminum backing plate.

thats funny as i did the same thing . i used some nice hardwood and then the aluin stand offs. my battery needed to be in the same location to balance. cant wait to fly it.

heres the info on the 50 you asked. it tached at 8500 with a 20x8 dynathrust. i really wanted to go with a less steep pitch but it flys so well as is. it pulls like a whipped mule as slows to a purr to land with ease. i have now run a little over 2 gallons and it is getting easier to start and prime each heat cool cycle. i will have the lazer info posted this weekend as i will maiden it then.

Would you happen to have a Xoar, FJX, NX in a 22 X 8 or a Vess 22A or 22B to try for rpm numbers?
I would be very, very interested in what it will turn with those props.
The props listed above are what a DA-50 or DL-50 will turn in the range of 7100 - 7500 rpm's.
If you are getting 8500 with a 20 X 8, you maybe right in DA/DL power.
I would really like to know.

i am pretty confident that it will swing the 22a or b i am going to call and ask. 8500 is cool but a little too high and the plane flys a little fast. unfortunatly the crrc uses a single hub hole so its hard to borrow a prop. also as you can see i did have a prop strike when landing as the gear is a little weak from the previous owner. not to worry as that will be adressed this week. more to follow.

Hey ken crane, Keep me posted on the 50cc numbers, I am very interest in what they are.

As far as the CRRC 26cc, CRRC Pro China has sent me some SY composite 16 X 8 props to evaluate and submit my findings.
They came in the mail today and are very nice looking and have a simulated carbon fiber finish. They actually look like a replica APC's.
My next flying season I will test them on the 26cc and report my feelings, it just seems like it will be bad weather this weekend.
I will keep you all posted.

I got a chance to test the SY 16 X 8 props this morning.
It was hard for me to test a lot of verticle, since the fog and cloud cover were about 100 - 150 feet.
I was actually losing the plane in the fog.

Performance was up to the APC 17 X 6 that I have been using, except maybe, I mean maybe, slightly slower verticle speed, but performs unlimited verticle.
Pull out from a hoover is very, very slowly as it was with both props.
I didn't expect much pull out from any prop with a 26cc and a 11lb 2 oz. plane.
For good 3D it must be in th 9 lbs to 10 lbs.
The SY props is much quiter the the APC 17 X 6.
The APC prop tips ripped almost the whole flight @ wide open and ripped really loud at loop and dive bottoms.
The SY prop never ripped and was ( like I said earlier ) equal to the APC 17 X 6.
Balance was good right from the package.
The carbon fiber look is awsome looking on the plane.
Numbers on the ground with a tach:

SY 16 X 8
Low idle was @1950rpm, but liked it better @ 2050rpm.
Top end @ 8750rpm.
Nice and quite and never had the tips rip.

APC 17 X 6
Low idle 1800rpm, but liked it @ 1850rpm.
Top end @ 9400rpm
If noise isn't an issue, this prop rips the tips when ever wide open.

I am gonna add some more SY 18 X 6 to my stock. I'll have to try them on my OS 1.20AX
Looks great, close to balance from the pack, pulled great.
It's a keeper.
They said they will be having more sizes available soon.

The next time out I will have someone with me to man the radar gun for some flat out level flight MPH numbers of the different props.

It's kind of hard to fly and do the radar gun at the same time.

I'll keep everyone informed.
