Well my engine now needs a new plane! Some kind of radio problem caused loss of control and she hit the deck - HARD! Man the pain in my gut when I knew it was gone. DX7 and AR7000 I thought was rock solid, not so sure now. Some people say the electronic ignition can cause trouble, even with 2.4ghz. I run a 42% products opto ignition kill system and some people don't trust them? It happened so quick but I'm sure I lost elevater for a bit, plane went into a diving spin but then I got control back about 2m from the dirt. Just a frag too late, I hit the gas and tried to pull up but it belly slammed. Engine has a bent crankshaft and the carb snapped off. Good thing the parts are pretty cheap. IMG_0137.jpg

Ouch! Sorry for your loss! I wouldn't think 2.4 ghz would be affected by electronic ignitions.

Is that per flight, per hour or per what timeframe?

Hi Ken. MPH = milliamps per hour, so a 380 milliamp pack would run the module for one hour.

Hey Jack,

Nice to hear from you!!

Yep, I knew that part, just trying to make sure that it was understood by all. The Mah rating is an average, or a rating at a certain RPM, only because the motor draws more Mah at higher RPM's. I guess my post was requesting info on what the "actual draw" was.

Hey guys,
I bought me one of those CRRC 26 engines the other day and it is supposed to ship tomorrow. I hope it is as good as you guys say. I'll keep you posted.

Well I cracked open the box and found a cute little engine and a bunch of extras [blue anodized standoffs, spark plug wrench, a long t-shaped allen wrench, and some hardware]. The engine is pretty neat with a red head and a "Torch CMR7H" spark plug stuck on top. The DC-CDI ignition comes in a chrome plastic box warning me to, "Please do not secretly disassembles!" I hope I don't have any troubles with this ignition.

The manual gave me a chuckle or two. For example, "We are obligated to having products which make the defect to offer the service." This was in the "Waring" section. It recommends 20-25:1 for a period of 2-3 hours of run time. Also, it seems that someone with a pen has crossed out 6V and wrote in 4.8V, so I guess I'll be using 4.8 volts for the ignition.Despite the grammar and spelling, I was able to fully understand the manual.

The carb is a little different from the ones I saw in this thread. The choke has this cool little feature so that when the choke is flipped closed, a little arm engages the throttle arm and locks the choke. To release it, you simply open the throttle a bit, and the choke snaps open. I'm assuming this will allow me to flip it on the choke until it runs, and then blip the throttle so it doesn't die. Cool!

I should have the engine running this week, and I plan to put it on a Showtime 90. I hope all the pre-production bugs are worked out.

Hey Anderson, keep an eye on the output shaft when you get it going. Mine was running untrue. After a few runs, the shaft came undone! Turns out the spring washer on the back was kicking it out of true. I took it out and used blue locktite instead. Runs pretty true now. But be carefull not to do up the output bolt to tight as I did - the gold prob hub gets pushed harder up the taper on the crank causing it to spread and split where the keyway is. I had to get a new one

Thanks for the info, gazz. Mine appears to be turning true, but I'll look into it.
