Glad that you found the loose connection. Real bummer.
Well, went to Pensecola yesterday and drove back today with a 27% CAP 232. 1082 miles round trip. I am bushed. Going to put a DL 55 in the nose for power. This is the Hangar 9 Wonder Bread plane, by the color scheme. However, it has been changed on this plane. Chief Aircraft has some on their web site, new for sale. Take a look!

Later,

Joe
Yea. To take the cowl on/off you have to remove the muffler, spark plug and carb, but it's easy because everything's exposed.

That's quite a drive for a plane! Hope you enjoy it.

Yes, that was a drive. Looking forward to your report on the Frenzy's flight with gas engine. Good luck!

Alright, everything's working smoothly. All in all, this plane is ballistic! I don't think I will change the prop because I love revving the engine to over 9 grand even tho it's prolly dropping out of the power band, but the prop doesn't seem to offer braking. The plane weighs somewhere around 10lbs. I moved the battery back 2.5 inches to get the CG @ 6." Now it locks in to hovers a little better.

This little engine has some power. Heading out to the flying field this morning before it gets too hot. Will start to lean it out some. Glad to hear that your experience has been the same with this engine. I am swinging a 16X6. Will move to a 16X8 soon.

Will be leaving on the 1st of October after work. Wish I could make it for your fun fly! Tweaked the Edge out yesterday and had her humming. Not into 3D, but had fun with split S's, figure 8's, etc. She does a mean flat spin. On the fourth flight, just got finished doing some rolls and engine quit. Brought her in for a sweet landing and could not start plane again. After further checks, found the ignition wire had come off. I now have clips on the plug ins for no more chance of that. Need to check and recheck when dealing with this hobby. Could have been costly for sure.
Later, Joe

Will give you first "out of the box" impression of general quality with photos from all angles. Then I will take you through the break in procedure with performance numbers using different props as I build running time on the test stand.

Next, I will post photos of mounting the GF26I on a new Sea Gull Laser 2000 1.20 airframe and the subsequent maiden flight. Then follow up with how the engine performs under different flying conditions.

Stay tuned as the journey begins next week with the arrival of the new GF26I!

I am having problem programing the Spektrum DX7 to operate 2 elevator servos together properly. Advertisement in Fly RC says radio has "servo sync" just for this purpose but it is no where in the manual. I hate to have to buy a JR matchbox to do this as it is one of the reasons I bought the radio.

Hey Hardtop, do you have your initital timing correct??? It sounds to retarded so it starts backwards. As Jim at Western Hobbies about it. I have to tell you in over 4 hours of running and I don't know how many starts my 26 has NEVER started backwards!! It usually starts on first or second flip once warmed up. The first cold start may take 3 or 4 flips depending on how ell I have it primed.

Nicetie it is good to hear they will repair your 1.30 under warranty, but you should switch to one of these 26 cc gassers, cheaper to run and more power.

Sorry for the delay in getting the Laser in the air. IF the weather hold out and IF I can get the elevator servos programed the laser will fly this weekend. We are supposed to have rain again with 48 degrees according to weather forecast.

thanks for this post. i think i have encountered the same problem. mine broke down after a couple of weeks. although it was a different brand. so now im looking if someone does parker servo motor repair or if parker does this for free?
thanks

hello people.

after 2 months, i buy the crrcpro 26GFI, from romania (i live here).

flight yesterday, at some point I heard a noise from engine noise that persisted. a quick examination, I saw in front of engine oil in bearings. noise appears to be inside the engine, all screws is in their place and no vibrating, so this case is excluded.

I sent mail to the warranty and I expect their answer.
