That rpm with the mezjlic 28x10 is way higher than others is that with a tuned pipe?

This engine was the test for the mod that fixed quitting when tilted problem...Atleast on this one...

is that a stock motor reading or has it been tweaked alittle? that motor is really spinning with that prop.

I agree, tuned pipe is only possible way to get 7100 rpm out of an 100'er engine with that prop.

3w80xi... i took this excerpt from another post of mine....

27x10 Bolly wood and i was a little disappointed as i only got 5200 RPM tuned to fly... So i switched to a Menz 26x12 Ultra and got 6000 tuned to fly... I didnt bother with the 26x10 Menz i have, Its rips when im flying, very noisy..

According to the prop power calculator with the 27x10 i am only getting 5.37HP and 36 pounds of static thrust, and with the 26x12 i am producing 8.34 HP and about 47 pounds of thrust. This engine is rated at 8.5 HP so i guess the 26x12 is the prop to use?

Edit* I was noticing that the Evolution 80 has a 27x10 Mejzlick as their benchmark prop, swinging it 6400RPM, are evolution engines more pwoerful than 3w? Yet they are so unpopular in the areobatic/IMAC and 3D scene

DL 50, home made cannister exhaust (freon can)... fully broken in, Amsoil 80-1, JC Super Prop 23x7, 80 degrees at 15 foot above sea level, 7480 hot. Pulls 88 inch EF Yak around like toy. Engine/airframe belongs to buddy and we tached it together today. Nice and quiet setup except the lightweight cannister has a hard tin sound...(I like it)
