Fuji 50 with stock muffler
50:1 fuji oil
87 octane
2 gallons-factory settings
Mejlick 22x8--7100

Very happy with the motor. Seems competitive with others of similar class.

DA50 vess 23a with a slimline ptts after 10 gallons 6750 rpm

same motor after a new piston and piston ring 4 gallons more breakin
23a vess with slimline the rpms dropped to 6400 so i replaced the muffler with a stock da50 side dump and the rpms jumped to 6850 rpms with a lot more grunt in the mid range.

RPM Don't care the plane pulls hard

I have found myself in the past driving myself crazy chasing Ghost RPM's that somebody else clames to achieve with a similiar setup. Do yourself a favor, Fly the plane. If it Runs well and has ample power for your application, put the RPM meter away and fly.

Gotta get me one of those 54 hp DA 150s...Does Dave know he's making those ?
My 289cc racing twin is only about 30 hp...
Peter Goldsmith runs DA 150s in his race plane, he sure would like to have one like yours, he can get only about 210 mph with his...At about 10,000 with a much smaller race prop....
The best race engine so far is a 200cc Aerrow twin, 244 mph...Yours would be a killer, is it for sale ?
