Help! Engine Thrust

Hey all, I was wondering what you all do to set up the trust angles in your engine. how do you measure the degrees? do you use washers, thrust plates? any pics? I just really have no clue how to measure trust by degrees, it's been trial and error for me.

There are going to be many ways to do this. For initial up-down-thrust I use the Hangar 9 Incidence Meter. It but in all reality I mount it, fly it and see what it needs by running the common in flight tests to determine engine thrust after the cg has been set to a position that you are comfortable with. I use very thin washers, actually punch them out of thin sheets of aluminum. I have found that standard 10-32 or 1/4-20 flat washers can be too thick once you are very close to having it dialed in.

so you guys just use washers too huh? I was wondering if there were any pre-made plates or washers that were equivalent to, say .5 degrees, for example, per washer

SWB has a degreed motormount for each the 100 class and the 150 class engines, I believe. I'm for certain on the 150 class 3W/DA.

I use washers personally.
