Default 2.6 Comp Arf Extra w/ standard mufflers

Almost done with my Comp Arf 2.6 Extra 300sx using a DA 100. Has anyone used standard mufflers on this kit or the Extra 260?
I'm leaning towards a set of MTW Cans....but I already have a set of standard Mufflers. Noise is not an issue, just curious how they fit and how easy/difficult the cowl is to get on and off.

thanks!!

I have a C-arf 2.6 330L with the DA 100 std muffs. I don't know how similar the cowls are to the 300 but I always trim the muffler down pipes so the they just clear the cowl for 2 reasons. 1, so I don't have to pull mufflers to get the cowl off and 2, I hate the look of the mufflers sticking way out the bottom, I think it makes the plane look like a walrus. I'm getting 6100rpm with a 28/10 menz wood prop 50 to1 Bel-ray MC-1 oil.

I've tried to get you a pic but none of the atachment functions will work for me. Basically the down pipes are cut about 3/8" below the cowl on the tail side. Make sure if you use a manuel choke that the hole is big enough to pull that through as well. My cowel slips off no problem. If you want a pic, pm me and I'll E-mail you one.
