I have had four 3W engines. I still own three.I haven't had any real problems, other than the usual self induced variety. I started having deadsticks and choke issues that I couldn't figure out with my 3W-85xi-CS. I changed receivers, and servos but nothing seemed to work. Every time I went to full throttle my choke servo would go crazy, eventually killing the engine. I disconnected the servo, and flew the airplane. It would pop and miss aftre a few minutes of flying, and sometimes quit for no reason. I had the ignition tested, and it checked fine. I couldn't figure out why after almost a year of flying I was having ignition noise problems. I had a chaffed braid near the spark plug cap and I fixed that. Ordered a new ignition. All the problems went away. Brought the old ignition into the house to have a long look at it. The spark plug cap was very dirty, I should have looked at this sooner. I cleaned it out and bought a new CM-6 spark plug from the local Honda dealer. Put it all back together, runs like a champ! I know that most ignition problems are in the cap. I should have cleaned it long ago.
