Default 102" QQ Yak GenIII MTW Cans/Headers on 3W106?

Which MTW cans is the QQ 102" Gen-3 Yak setup to accept, the 75's or the 75K's? My understanding is that the K's are shorter but larger diameter. Then, where can I find the appropriate headers for a 3W 106 to fit the plane?

Thanks,

RJ

Default Re: 102" QQ Yak GenIII MTW Cans/Headers on 3W106?

There is no headers for a 3W106 that will work with QQ Yak 102" and several people inluding me made custom headers by modifying the 3W headers.

I sent my headers to Gerhard from Aircraft International to measure and be able to make custom headers for his future customers for the QQ Yak 102". Call and check with him, he might started making them.

May I ask why do you want MTW if you are using 3W106 you can get their ML canisters? I have been using them QQ 102" gen II in a 3W106CS with good success. Good power.

Thanks DrFun. I'll check on those headers. Regarding the 3W canisters, I don't see any ML cans, do you mean the M/55's? I hadn't looked at those. Any advantages over MTW's? I only looked at MTW's because they seem most common in that airframe.
