Edge-540, I have that plane and engine combo, it was my first 100cc plane, love it. I just put the throttle servo under the engine box, it is a straight shot to the throttle arm. I have smoke and using the TME pump. The weight with the extra battier and oil tank does not seem hurt the performance any, just makes real a mess. So seal all the gaps. I use 2 HT 5955 on the rudder and elev. And using 5985 on the ailerons. With 1.5” Arms, three 2600 mah Fromeco and regs. And an old 6v battier for the smoke pump. I can send you some pictures of my set up it you want. Terry

I also have this setup (SD 35% Yak with DA100). Watch your weight if you want it to jump out of a hover. This is a large plane for a 100cc engine. Mine is almost 30 pounds. I don't run smoke and no pilot figure. I use a CF wing tube and CF propellor to save a litle weight. I'm using the supplied aluminum landing gear. You could save a few ounces here with CF also. I run 10 servos total - 4 JR ds 8411 (ailerons) , 4 hitec 5955TG (elevator and rudder) and two 421 (throttle and choke).

For batteries, I'm using three NiMh 2250 packs (no regulator, no matchbox, no powerbox). I may go to A123 cells to save some weight when these packs give out.

Mine came out a little nose-heavy. So consider putting the batteries toward the rear of the fueslage opening. Also, I have a few degrees of up-thrust.

A while back, SleepyC, myself, and a couple of other people, all joined in a thread for the Harris and Anderson RC 107" Yak, which is a clone of your SD Yak. Exact same plane, except that the color schemeis diferent (and much uglier). All our comments and discoveries are there:

Harris and Anderson 100cc YAK 54 the REAL DEAL.

Hope this helps.

Really, it IS the exact same aircraft.
