[quote=sprice50;472603]I don't think it would have a problem at all and it would help on downline braking a lot. Only thing is it may still be loudish at full throttle due to increased diameter. I'd try it out, but am happy enough to stick with the 28x10 Mej so I don't want to spend another $100.[/QUOTE Lol I heard that, am going to run a da 100 on greeves |

Well i should be ready for my maiden this weekend if all goes well, my mount came out 3/16 short of where i thought it was going to be. measure twice, build once and add material once . im stealing your idea Sprice, i went with the clear covering on the bottom but im second guessing it now, the quality of the ultra cote clear is horrible.... glorified saran wrap. i also made my KS mount removable, which came in handy after i realized my hub didn't quite make it out of my cowl... oopsjust have to program some servos and cut up the cowl a bit. |

well so far i have unlimited vertical, easy starts, more power than a 106 cs outta the box(maidened a comp arf Yak 55 with a 106cs the same day) this insane prop rippin problem( 28x10 jfx) ultra quiet when i dont mash the thumb and it sounds uber cool, i gotta say thanks Sprice for taking the plunge and setting me on my way. i couldnt tach the motor because the noise police were there and shes ripping the prop on the ground, but i have here set up to idle around 1400. thats the only thing thats trippin me out is getting the idle down enough so it will stay putt and not want to taxi / fast landing and im a touch tail heavy.... no inputs on a 45 deg inverted upline and maintains the line |

This motor blows me away - flew yesterday and my buddy at the field tached his 106CS on stock exhaust at 6300 on a 28x10 PT. I'm in the 6500 range coming off break in and could dial the tune in a bit more on my Mej 28x10. The PT is loading up a bit more I expect, but for an 85 to compete with a red head. Sweet! Still need to install my Eagletree setup for RPM's, temp, etc... May be a week or two but will have numbers come week of July 4th for sure...

Well I maidened my setup today. All I can say is WOW! I ran a DA-85 with a wrap around pitts for around 3 gallons. After two flights with the new 85 and KS 1090 I can't see ever going back to a wrap around. The power is incredible. I was only able to get in a couple of flights so I have some more playing around to do but this is an awsome combo. I did some brief hovering and as everyone running this combo said. There is no peakiness or hesitation in transition at all. Sprice, thanks for talking me into this setup |
