I always install a vent line to the metering plate on all of my planes. That way I can be sure that any turbulence in the cowl won't disrupt my fuel flow. I simply install a glow muffler 8-32 pressure nipple on the plate and run a piece of fuel line from it to the fuse. Have to make sure and get the back side of the plate flush and smooth after installing the nipple so it can't contact the diaphragm.

I installed the fuel tank in the stock location, after installing a gas proof stopper, with a two-line setup, one to the carb with a tee for filling and the other a vent line that loops twice, above the tank, and then exits out the bottom of the fuse. You can use any sort of manual choke on the carb. I also used an RCats switch between the manual switch and the EI so I could shut the engine off through the Tx. Make sure that you open your cowl up enough to get good air flow over the barrel of the engine for cooling. For a prop I choose a Xoar 20X8. Gives me good power. Hope this answers your questions. If you have any more feel free to PM me again.

Ken, Please let me know how it flew. I have a few guys looking to pop our XYZ-50 in their Super Sportster. BTW, You should start to see close to 6600rpm with the 20x10apc after a few tanks/flights.

UPDATE: i've been running the engine with an 18x8 laminated xoar...just a little 4-cycling at midrange, which i'm working-out with the low needle...rpm increasing with more run time...solid 7800 rpm so far...i'll test fly with this setup before trying the 20x10 again (looks like it might be ready for 6,600 on the 20x10)...about a gallon of 32:1 run through the engine so far...planning to switch to 40:1 mc-1 for the next gallon...i'm very happy with this engine...i wasn't expecting da or 3w performance...it has the weight of a g26, and seems to have power somewhere between a g38 that used to power my ultra hots and a fox3.2 i had on an ohio giles202...good price, and very nice bling (in case i butcher the cowl, trying to make it fit)...lol...btw, the stock 3.25 ss spinner should fit with no problem, unless you're using the apc20x10 wide blade...ken
