I am looking to see some idle rpm numbers, top end rpm numbers, brand & size prop, total weights ( minus battery ), battery voltage being used, and how the transition is. So far all I have seen is 7200 with a APC 20 X 8. Can you guys post some more?

I am getting close to being being done with my Skyshark P-40N. I will be posting more RPM #'s once I am finished with the build. I have some Bambula 20x10 & MA 20x10 props I plan to use on the XYZ-50. A freind of mine fly's his Skyshark P-40N with a Brison 3.2(52cc) with a Zinger 20x10 props. He is getting 7000RPM and the plane fly's great. I hope to get close to 7000 RPM with a Bambula 20x10. I was getting 7200RPM with a APC 20x8 prop so I think it will be close. I'll let you know how it goes,

I guess nobody is really running the XYZ 50cc. No new post, I did some tach readings on my CRRC 50cc. Do a search if interested.

The majority of folks buying these engines are buying them for war birds so they're not interested in comparing performance. The engine spins a Xoar 20 X 8 at 7000 rpm. That's all I needed to know.

I hope to start testing the XYZ-50 once again this week. I am almost done with my P-40 and all I need is some more 3/32 tygon fuel line and I will start testing with a Bambula 20x10 and a MAS 20x10. I have already used a APC 20x8 and got 7200RPM with it. I also my try a TBM 21x8, but these TBM props really load an engine more than a Xoar or other simular prop. |

I'll be real interested in the 20X10 but if I were you, and I'm not, I wouldn't run a TBM prop on any engine. They load them down way too much and could cause damage to a new engine.

Well I finally got around to test the XYZ-50 with a couple of other props. The MAS 20x10 is not worth wasting your time with. The prop was so far out of balance I almost never did get it to balance. Once I did only got 6200RPM with it. I changed the MAS out to a Bambula 20x10 wich was balanced right out of the package. The Bambula 20x10 on the XYZ-50 got 6950RPM. Not to bad and this is the prop I will be using on my Skyshark P-40N |
