Default Gas Engine Question

I've got an Aviation Models Super Chipmunk, and in the manual it calls for a 140 Glow engine. I was wondering if the airframe would support a small gasser such as the MVVS/Evolution 1.6? I'm just curious how much vibration a small gasser puts out as compared to their glow counterparts? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Default Re: Gas Engine Question

The evolution 26cc and 35cc are smooth, the RCS 1.8 might work well,
but if the 2.5 lb BME 55 hits... that would rocket that plane.
The smaller gassers seem to be just as smooth as big glow motors.

Just find out what the recommended motor should weight, and try to find a gasser that
will come in around the same weight. You will be fine!
