Default Best 3D prop for DA 85

I just ran my 4th gallon through my 85 and was thinking of going to a 27" prop. Right now I'm running a 26x10 ZM carbon fiber prop on a Slimline Pitts. Is there a better prop out there that will put more air over the control surfaces and reduce torque?

I have used a Mejzlik 26-10 for break in, liked it quite a bit then switched to a Mejzlik 27-10TH. I like the 27-10TH but is spins up very high RPM's and is loud, I tried a Xoar 26-12 today for a few flights and did not care for it too much it had a much slower spool up than either of the Mejzlik's. I have a Regular Mejzlik 27-10 from my 100 that I may try on the 85. In all likelyhood I will stay with the 26-10 Mejzlik, as I felt it had the best overall performance......No RPM #'s I evaluate my props, by how my plane flies not the rpm #'s

Thanks greyhoundman, Let me know if you try the regular 27x10 and how it performs. I'm trying to find a prop that will reduce torque. I'm having to hold full right aileron to try and keep the plane from torque rolling in a hover.(35 degrees of throw)

Standard 27x10 Mejzlik works great for me.

one of these 2 are the best i think the 27x10th is better but if you want faster spool up than that youll need to go 26x10
Mezjlick
27x10th
26x10

i dont care about sound and going to a reqular 27x10 you lose a lot of performance.

I just got off the phone with DA and the guy there told me to go with a 27x10th or a 3 blade prop. But he was out of the 27x10th.

I tried the Vess 26A and 26B TBM 26x10 and a ZM 26x10 carbon fiber this weekend. The Vess 26B was by far the best of the bunch!.

I'm using the 26x12 Mejzlik and getting much better pullout than on the 27x12TH. That's the prop that QQ recommends for his DA-85 setups. I haven't flown 3D with is but its a much better IMAC prop.

Am using a Xoar 27 3D prop, and it work great for 3D. The prop spools up fast. I have also tried a Xoar 27*10 carbon tip. This prop is great for IMAC and it is very quiet.
