Default Da 50 prop bolt question

Well... I am ready to put the prop on and fire. I see the crank has threads in it. There is no extra bolt or bolt in it. I dont see anything in the manual about it. Do I just use the 4 bolts for the prop and go with it? I don't have them either.... DO you usually have to buy your own prop bolts? What size and what grade should I buy? Remember, Grade 8's can be brittle.

Use the 4 prop bolts and the washer that goes under them, If you didn't get the 4 bolts and washer.. you got shafted, No pun intended Call up DA if you got it from them and they'll make it right!

they are for installing a spinner or installing a spinner adapter, depending on the manufacturer of the spinner. A screw goes from the nose of the spinner into the crank and pulls the spinner against the backplate.

That center hole is threaded for the bolt that holds the spinner

Yep they got it right.
true turns should not need an adaptor, just screw right in!
The bolt goes down the middle and pulls the spinner to the backplate by threading into the threaded hole you were talking about!

Jim, I have done a bad thing. I cant find the original firewall. I have no idea where it is. I am going to have a hell of a time aligning without a ladder ehh? I have a new firewall cut and ready to glue/bolt on... but I would love to hav had the original. I cant see where it could have grown legs and walked to.... I am a very organized person too...shucks

You don't need the spinner on before you fire it....or if your wondering about the prop bolts...dont worry about it. Just tighten them up good and fire it. Just check the bolts after each tank of fuel to make sure they aern't loose...usually with new props, you'll have to tighten the bolts a few times as the prop hub material will compress.

Next, I need to buy a spinner. I was going to do fit and finish, and then put on the cowl and spinner last. I guess True turn. Its going to need to be 4" or so. I have not even measured..... not looking forward to the pricetag on it either
