If you've run the line into the fuse and are still having a problem then terminate the line in a pill bottle or film canister. Just drill a hole in the lid so the line fits in loosely. Make sure it is not air tight. Works like a champ and guarantee's no turbulence.

While choking, fuel comes out of the carb (probaly out of a gasket). This motor is brand new (although in box for 5 years.)

Is it normal for the high end to be only open 3/4 of a turn.

thanks for any help
Not really OK. You need to balance both low & high needles. I'd open up the HIGH and close the LOW a bit...

did some more tuning on the g62, high end is still at 3/4 and a tad more open. Here I get max rpm of 6300 turning a zinger 22x10. Where can I buy a needle setting gauge? Low end is now set a littler leaner and I'm also getting a good transition. It just loads up a bit when idling for a bit and I have to add throttle slowly. After it is spooled up once, acceleration is perfect again. It will also hold the peak rpm. I was hoping for higher rpms. Will a Mezlik 24x10 be too much (this is the next prop I want to try)?

With a non restrictive muffler you should be at 7000 with that prop, I don't think it is your needles but your exhaust.

thanks for the help,

the 22 x 10 is a regular zinger, not the pro. The muffler should not be very restrictive that I'm running. They can be found at toni clark practical scale gmbh.Since the engine is new, I hope the RPM's will increase when I have run a few tanks threw the engine.

Will the Mejzlik 24 x10 be too much though. I am running the engine at sea level in florida, were it is currenlty extremely humid and hot.

The above is a link on the following web page:
http://www.ch-ignitions.com/CHinst.html

I used this to adjust my timing and it worked awesome. Just clip some music wire to the engine and use it as a pointer. Just make sure you don't bump it after you set it.

I've read this thread from spinner to tailwheel (women's marathon is that boring!)...

I have a pretty new 3W170... about 2 gallons through it. It has a great high end, no burbling through the throttle range, but it shakes like crazy at idle. I've been hesitant to start cranking on the low idle, but it sounds like that's what I need to do. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Hi ,Andre again would like to know if altitude plays a role in the setting up of a gas engine concerning your low end needle.

I'm seeing high vibration in my DA100 at idle too, after 5 gallons. Can this be remedies by adjusting the low end? Does the type of prop contribute to higher vib at idle too? Thanks
