Default Motul 800 Oil for Aircraft!

So I headed over to the dirtbike shop and got myself some new oil to mix into my gas for the DA 50.

I cant seem to find any amsoil in town so I got some MOTUL 800 Off Road Factory line oil for 2 strokes.

According to the dirtbike people it is the best oil that everyone is using. The highest Mixture recommended on the bottle is 50:1 but lots of dirtbike guys are running it at 80:1 and some even 100:1.

I was thinking of running it at 80:1 just because its kinda like amsoil I guess.

All I know is that its all synthetic and dark red in color.

Any one ever use this kind of oil and what mixture? Do you think its a good Idea. I can't seem to find any oil in town recommended in the DA Manuel but they say its OK to use any high quality 2 stroke racing oil and thats what this stuff is. Just dont know what mixture I should run it at.

50:1 OR 80:1 or somewhere in-between?????????

I know of one fellow running it at 50:1, and the other 75:1, both in DAs and both with good results. I would stick with 50:1

I think I will do that and see how it runs.

It wouldn't hurt to do a little leaner mixture later would it, I mean piston mating and everything.

I hope changine this oil doesnt reak havoc on my engine, I dont know If I will be able to get Motul again.

I am sure it will be great at 50:1. If you cant find what brands you are looking for, you can find them online at a bunch of places. I run bel ray mc-1 but cannot get it local, so I just order it.

I'm running motul 800 at 50:1 in my DA50. It is great oil with very little cleanup and the engine just keeps getting stronger. Personally I would not run it any higher than 50:1. If motul recomend 50:1, use it at 50:1.
