I know this thread is just like the one below but I wanted to narrow the choices and make the results easier to see. I will be choosing one of these planes in this mounth so this is very important. I like the jtec because it has been provne in comps, but I am iffy with the 330s. The Sd models extra 260 is my first choice because I love the 260's, I just dont know how well it will do because it is to new. The wildhare is my third choice because I think the 300's are the new thing and also it is used by an awsome pilot so I know it is competition worthy. I will be using this plane for strictley Imac so that is also soemthing to consider. Thanks, Mike Rohren Last edited by Extra260; 03-08-2007 at 09:38 AM. |

I went with the SD 260 - why its simply the best quality I have seen for the money!!! - mine arrived last week - the carbon gear is great and the wing bags for very little extra is unbelievable - now the wildhare has had some real problems with their hinging system but i am 100% sure tom will fix it, he always does - that is also a great plane - now the jtec you need to see for yourself - with these three planes its up to you and in the set-up!! as they are to close to call

Yeah the jtec is proven. That is the only reason I am iffy about the sd 260. I Know it is going to be a great flyer it is just that all these planes are around the same price and I want the best flyer I can get for my money.

i just went through this myself as some of you know and i went with the wild hare. i haven't got it ready to fly yet but it is one of the best looking arfs i have had so far. the covering was much better than the sd yak i had although it was not bad. it looks to be built light and strong. all wood and glue joints look very good and everything is lined up and straight. i also like the looks of the pocket hinges and have not heard about any problems with them myself. i can see how after time there would be some wear but all hinges wear after enough flights. i think these would be very easy to tighten back up. all are very good planes but at the price i thought the WH was a great value and still do. time will tell. adrein, what problems are you speaking of with the hinges? randy |

There are none of these planes in Israel, and I know you didn't buy one from me, so I can only suppose that you are passing on a rumor. The hinge issues were on some of the first batch of planes only, long since fixed. Way to torpedo a potential sale though, nice job. Similar to "for a fat girl you sure don't sweat much". Just got underway with my WH 41% Extra..... Just an amazing arf Plane at an amazing value! Can't wait to get her up, the reviews thus far here on the giants show it as a excellent plane! I personally see NO issues with the hinging, as i hope to see more planes with this hinge type. JMO.....
