Yes it is a WONDERFUL plane. I own one and found it to be almost identicle in construction to the 46% Hanger Nine Ultimate. Actually the buildup framework is identicle except for the airfoiled stab and the placement of the wingtube is 'slightly' different. In my opinion it flys a little better than the H9 because of the airfoiled stab.
You cant go wrong with this plane!!
The only issues I found were that the orig. cowl was a little heavy but the plane needed nose weight with a ZDZ160 up front. The ZDZ160 had plenty of power for this plane. I ended up buying a ZDZ210 for the extra weight up front and bought a Hanger 9 cowl too. The ZDZ210 would be a perfect match. I bought the 210 to put on it but never flew it and ended up selling the 210. Also the landing gear is a little weak so I purchased the carbon gear from H9 too.
I have this plane for sale here- http://www.flyinggiants.com/swapshop...uct=3095&cat=2

I removed some servos and a Smartfly PowerExpander so I reduced the price from $2500 to $1750

the italian dealer (mattfly) sales the ultimate at 899 euro, +or- 1000$

it's made in china (like the h9 and word models ultimate)

i think the flyhobby is the producer of hangar-9 and some other companies..

however my "best sponsor" (my father!!) has ordered the flyhobby ultimate, next week mattfly sends the kit.

We have a new 3w 150 whith jonnson headers, which is the best prop for the engine/plane? 30x10 or 32x10

he have the idea to install

aleirons : 8 hitec HS945mg 13kg 0.13sec/60° analogic

rudder : 2 hitec HS5735 18kg 0.15sec/60° digital

elev. : 2 hitec ?????????? (help)

engine/choke : 2 standard servos

is good or is better all digital servos ( example hitec 5985..)

ciao!!

$1000 is one AWSOME price for this plane. I wonder what shipping from Italy would be to the U.S.?
I own this plane and it is built almost 'exactly' like the Hanger Nine except for a couple minor things. You will like it very much

I like my H9 with a 32x10, but im using a 30x12 right now. some like the 30x12 for 3D.
I would go with 1 servo on each surface. i have 8611s all the way around with seiko 50 on rudder with pull pull.
$1000 for this airplane is a steal. hope they keep making it. i bet if it could be advertised, more could be sold at that price!

ok, i buy a 32x10 for 3w.

with 1 servo per aleiron is there the risk of flutter or bending at high speed?

the resolution of hitec servo and jr servo is the same?

we have intension to put 8 hitec 5985 on aleirons

2 hitec 5985 on elevators ( or is better the 5955tg)?

2 hitec 5735 or 3 5985 on rudder

ciao!

Mike McConville uses 1 8611 on each surface, just as i do. there are several that have done the same. Use high quality hardware, inner aileron station, use throttle management (same for all big airplanes) and it will be a fine airplane.

Default Re: flyhobby ultimate...

ok man, after much discussion whith mu father we decide to mount 2 servos on each surface.....to decrese the fisk of flutter or blending.

we decide to mount 8 hitec 5985 on aleirons

two hitec 5955TG on elev.

two hitec 5735 on rudder
-on rudder is better two 5735 (previusly buyed..) or two 5955, more powerful but mainly more light than 5735 (-6oz) BUT TO BUY ;-)

another question...
the ultimate is tendentially tailhavy or fronthavy?

i explain better: (my english is bad..)
for good 3d fly the greater weight must be put in front of the airplane or in the tail??

ciao!!
