Help! Giant Scale Planes Giles 202

I'm currently thinking about making the GSP Giles my new plane. Does anyone have any information on this bird or the company? Here's a link: http://www.giantscaleplanes.com/giles109.htm

I'm thinking about a BME 115 for power. However I don't even know if it's shipping yet as I haven't been around the hobby for half a year, so any thoughts on this are appreciated.

Thanks!

I owned the 72" and when it wrecked it was probably the happyest day in my modeling career. It was a brick, no no a sinder block to fly and the construction and covering were very #$%^&. Like my buddy joe stek says " you get what you pay for and it never pays to skimp"

50%, from the planes I have seen from GSP (a giles) the quality is horrible and no matter how good of a deal you can get one for, it is not worth it to risk valuable equimpent getting wrecked in it. Between GSP and the plague, I will take the plague.

Yeah look into anything but that. My dad had one and it sucked big time. He even lightend it up by 2.5lbs and had a DA150 on it and it stilll came out heavy about 40lbs. The wing loading on that thing was terrible. There is just not enough wing area for the weight of that plane.

Dude there a re tons of 100cc airplanes for under 1000$ dollars. Heck you can get over half of those for around 600$-750 give or take.
aviation model
comp-arf
aeroworks
quique's
the list goes on
just get something from a reputable company so they dont leave you hanging if something comes up.

Thanks folks! I'll probably go for the Aeroworks 75cc Yak with a DA85.

50%,
If you're really wanting a big Giles, give Tom at Wildhare a shout. He's currently developing a 40% Giles that will be about 106 inches. I think he's shooting for having it out late summer if you can wait that long. I'm gonna order one myself. My plan is to put the 115 in it as well. According to Tom, it will be even lighter than their previous Giles which was smaller.

If you want specifics, you'll have to talk to Tom as I'm don't have all of the information.

Something to think about!
