Default My BBW Yak

Here is the Aerotech Yak that Walt built for me last year. I built the sister ship first and with life getting in the way this one got put on a hold a couple times. Well now that flying season is almost here I am putting the finishing touches on this bird. Still need to paint the cowl and hatch but other than that she is RTF. Thanks to Walt for the build and Pops for the covering. Walt Sly said that Boomer did a good job

Set up
Aerotech 40% Yak
Servos 8711's
Motor ZDZ 210 on JMB Cans
Batteries Fromeco 2-5200's 1-2600

Jeeum the windsheild on the Taylorcraft is not the preformed one. I made it out of a flat sheet of lexan. I can make you a template if you would like.

JR receivers can transfer 6 amps per channel port, as opposed to the 3 amps of a Futaba RX. Power distributors are not a BIG necessity with JR rx's.

If you notice there are no open slots on the 10channel receiver. There are two battery leads going into the receiver as well as two battery leads going into the matchbox. The limiting factor is the power plugs. I have been using this set up for many years with no issues. Also all 4 of my aileron servos run their own channel and are multipoint mixed through the radio which allows me for a zero bind set up throughout the entire throw not just center and end points. How often do we fly at center of full anyway? With the 8711's you have to be very exacting with your set up because they can draw huge amounts of amperage if binding up at all.
