Just ordered one of these babys and was working up an order for TBM. Would one servo like say a 5955, or 5711 be enough for each elevator half, or do they really need the second servo? Also what are some of the rtf weights some of you are getting?

I would run two, much more positive. Came in around 37 3/4 pounds. He used a 3w 157. He seems to like it quite a bit. Garrett Last edited by torquen; 04-18-2007 at 02:02 AM. |

I am planning on running the same motor. Old but new 3W 150 on it. Thanks for the input. It's my first 40%. Been flying the piss out of my 35% SD yak and love it so I can't wait to get this bird airborn!

bax, I'm very sorry I mis read your post topic and I thought you said 40% yak. Saw the yak in your aviatar and it clicked. I have another close friend flying the 40% Extra with a 157 3w. His came in at 37.75 pounds with a few extra's that really dont need to be done and a heavy pilot. Ill redo my first post ![]() Garrett Morrison p.s. Prolly scared the piss out of you saying 47 pounds |

Have you had much luck with the seiko? We just set up a 37.5% yak with a seiko on it and it was garbage. Had tons of play at center. I was planning on 3 5955's in a tray. Garret... I figured that was a misprint after checking your gallery. I was like damn I want to be under 38lbs if I can. Hey I ordered mine on tuesday. Do you guys know what wharehouse they ship from? Just trying to figure out an arrival time because no one else could give me a straight answer..

What voltage are you running your Seiko on. I have them on my 3.1 and Pitts and I wont go past them as far as power goes. Sure they dont center absolutely perfectly but that seems to be heat related and there is a fix for that. Just curious, not plugging Seiko servos, thats for sure. Kiwi |

i run three seiko's all with great service - i slot them for cooling and have no centering issues - i think you perhaps had a faulty unit - so do lots of my mates and we have very few issues - the saving in setup time, weight and price is a winner!!
