I have a G-26 w/E.I. redone from Ralph's Ignitions and want to put it into something other than a Cub or Biplane. Any suggestions? For a Mid-wing plane should I be looking in the 10-12lbs. range? . BTW : It came out of a H-9 Taylorcraft. Thanks Mykel-T

I do not own one personally, but I have seen one H9 showtime fly with the G-26, looked to be a nice combo. Don't know if it will 3-D, as the owner mainly flies pattern. I use an MVVS 26 for the funtana 90 and now for the FuntanaX100, I think you can get away with almost any 90-120 size plane on the market easily using that engine.

Two Great ideas, thanks I will check them out. Selleri, I would put it back except for trying to fly it on a very windy day..got caught in a crosswind right at lift-off and flipped over...HARD!. Mykel-T

Last outing the strut attachment plate to the gear snapped, on both sides! I'm pretty sure one of them had gotten tired from getting mangled in the crash couple of years ago but the other was new(well 5 flight hours old). Bring on the metal bashing Last edited by selleri; 05-23-2007 at 09:49 PM. | ||||||||||||||||||

mykel, Get a Hangar 9 1.20 Ultra Stick, been around for ever. I had one for two years with a G-26 and it was the perfect Plane to learn how to Hover. I didn't care what kind of wind we had, I could land, take-off and Fly that Plane like crazy. Someone bought it at our Club and they continue to Fly the snot out of it. Ward |

Wow that Monocoupe is a tad bit on the heavy side $$$$$$.$429.00 I guess it's worth it. As a rule, should the G-26 fly any aerobatic 120. size plane. BTW: I tried to fit it into that little cowl of a Great Planes Super Chipmunk....got so frustrated I sold the Chippy!. a real Cowlectamy for sure. Mykel-t |
