Default 50% Challenger 2 (Exclusiv Modelbau)

Hi All

I think my last post may have been discussing a Hanger 9 46% Ultimate.
Well that has sort of fallen by the wayside as It seems a little too hard for the H9 Importers here to get me one (ordered over a year ago!)

I have been told that I Infact can get a "Exclusiv Modelbau 50% Challenger 2" to my doorstep within four weeks, The shortfall Is that It's In kit form, not a huge drama though! although It has been a while since I have built, which brings me to this thread.
A couple of questions, first being what type of glue to use for constructing the wings? I have been told that PVA Is OK ! Hmmm...
Second Is that It appears that half of the front section of the fuse Is plastic or glass panelling, what type of paint/ primers and prep work Is required to achieve the finnish.

Any other hints or tips would also be greatly appreciated.

Regards Glenn

Hi Glenn,

The Challenger is a lot of work. I got mine and farmed it out to AJ Lee to build it for me. Take a look at the following link, you will see how they go together. The front panels on the plane are gel-coated fiberglass. These are made to make the plane look more scale but are a little heavy. I just sheeted the front end on mine with balsa and monokoted the whole thing to save weight.

Good luck
