I am sure the instructions suggest a servo with a minimum of 180 oz inches per surface, so it sounds like you should be fine. I set ours up with lithium ion batteries and regulators on the ignition and servos. I used a fromeco regulated reliaswitch for the rx and a smartfly ignition regulator for the DA. There are some pictures of my install in this thread. Dietrich 50cc Extra 260 - SQUEE It is a good flying plane. I think you will like it.

Hi, There seems to be several DP 260 threads, thought I'd post to this one. Here are a couple pics of my new DP 260. Well packaged, covering tight, very pleased. At this point only have covering removed from openings, CA reinforced and minwax poly on the engine and compartment area, and a good ironing. Hardware looks quality and everything looks to fit tight. The manual is a disappointment. Will be dropping in a DA50, 5955's all the way around. (yeah.. might seem overkill, but for about 20.00 more per unit than the 5985, which replaced the '45, why not?.. can't outgrow'em!), Fromeco regulator and their Badger switch, a 3000 and 1500 lipos, Don's pull-pull and a few more odds and ends. It'll be a slow build, the plane was an unexpected opportunity, so not like I have the cash to outfit it all at once. Will post here occassionally as work progresses. And of course.. suggestions and comments are appreciated. |
