Just Order mine a few days ago, and I was Woundering how much necesary is the 3rd Servo on the wing if You're using HS-5955 TG servos. Also the elevators, why 2 servos on the elevators and only two in the wings if the surface area is much bigger?? Could I only use 1 servo en the elevators or not (HS-5955 TG). Any input in this matter would be greatly apritiated. Regards, Hector

I just ordered mine acouple days ago to. I will be putting two 9152's on the aileron's (the only reason I got these is because I got a great deal other wise they would be 5955's) and 1 5955 on each elevator and 3 5955's on the rudder. The ailerons dont need 3. They are top hinged and are very rigid. The plane is normaly tail heavy so putting 4 servos on the elevators is risky. You just have to run the elevator servos on 1.25" arms.

1 (JR 8711) per elevator 2 (JR 8611A's) per aileron (Both on the phenolic plate near the wing root) 3 (JR 8611A's) on a SWB Rudder tray. I won't get into a Hitec/JR comparison.... I can only tell you what works for me. I don't see a need to use 2 servos in each elevator as this will increase your tail-weight considerably. Make sure that you use metal arms all-round. Thank you guys. Hey Wayne son you went with the 8711, Igues for the 400oz + tork, any gear slop on those?? Also have you seen your aileron flotering in the air due to gear slop?? By the way the main reason that I/m goin with the 5955 is the TG its more resistant to gear slop. I used the JR 8611a's and had this problem on certain servos. Thanks, Hector P.S. Any other inputs or experiences guys?

The 8711 have no slop on them up to now with about 79 flights. Previously I had in 8611a's but switched to the 8711 servos. The airplane now has a total of 180 flights. Wayne | ||||||||||||||||||

Thanks. I just ordered a 33% EX260 SD kit with a DA-85 and stock hardware. I ordered (6) Hitech 5985's, (1) 5625, and (1) JR8711. I'm not worried about the extra weight of the stock hardware because I think the 85 engine should have more than enough power.
