| Fly Low Or Go Home! ![]() |
As far as anyhting bad goes, the only thing that was a bugger on my Generation 1 102" Yak was that the covering came off every now and then, but that was probably because we didnt get it ironed down good enough from the box. My Generation 3 has never had an issue with it . . .

It's good to hear the accolades on the QQ Yak.I have a Gen III that I'm trying to get together, and a Gen I that I just picked up yesterday that'sready to go, I just have to look it over real good. There is a guy at our club that has two of the SD 100cc Yaks, and I have to say that they fly3D with ease, and are awsome airframes. He has an older 3W 100 in one of them, and a 3W 80 single in the other. Can't wait to get my QQ's out there though!Bob

Forgot to mention the fact that the QQ includes a boatload of hardware that is not part of theSD ARF price.I got the QQ combo deal. From a purely monetary standpoint, the QQ is less expensive to buy.

That is incorrect...they come with a full hardware package minus tailwheel. Unless that has changed since I bought mine. But I vote QQ. My SD Yak had major tail wag issues. The only way to fix it was 2 5955 servos or cut down the counter balance. I cut the counter balance and loved it. Other than that it is a great plane. Neo | ||||||||||||||||||

I have a Gen II QQ YAK and I love it in the air, it tracks like its on rails, 3% rudder to elev, one way and 1% the other. BUT.... it was a nightmare to assemble, nothing lined up, and I mean NOTHING, the sockets in the stabs were not glue in well, and the tubes would not go in, so we sanded and sanded and got one to fit and the other socket cracked and we could never get it fixed. Now I call QuiQue and talked to him @ it and he sent me 2 new stabs at no charge, tube still did not fit, so I sanded the Carbon tube until it did, many other similar issues with fit and finish, but all things were massaged and Worked out just fine, and now I love it. I recently bought a 40% SD yak ARC and plan to modify this plane to be lighter for less WL, but I have no experience with it yet, other than to say it appears to be a very well built ARF. IMO. you cant go wrong with either, although I think you will have much more success with QQ's customer support after the sale. Good luck..
