I am frustrated, I bought a Giant U Can Do 3D, and this selection was soly due to daughters barbies, and pink color scheme, but after sending my second one back to GP due to broken pieces in the fuselage, I took my third back in due to a cross frame support broken again, and they forgot to ship the replacement. Having purchased everything to go into the plane I had to make a change. I bought the Hanger 9 27% extra 260 and plan on putting a saito 220 in this. Had this been the original plan I probably would have bought a different plane and a gas engine. But if anyone has any tips on the 27% extra saito combo I could use the advice. I am running a Flight power 4200 LIPO on a duralite 6v system, and have 6 futaba 9351's. Any prop sugeestions for the U can I have 18x6W. Spectrum DX7, is a redundant system necessary in this bird? Anyone know if there are muffler sulections for saito 220. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, the old U-can't-do. The only thing they were good for was cussing at and getting people to buy better 3D models. I pretty much learned my 3D basics on a 60-size, but was DAMN glad to be done with it. Enjoy the extra 260, but I'll let someone who has one of them make suggestions. |

I have had the h9 260 with a Saito 180. With the 220 your plane will be awesome. My setup was 5945's (I think like 168oz at 6v and metal geared) on all flight surfaces. Pull-pull rudder setup and Lion RX battery. I flew an 18x6 also I think. I had to put everything as far forward as possible to overcome the lightweight engine. It flew awesome though and was sooooo much more fun to fly with a lighter setup vs. all my friends who had gone gas on this plane. I think you will enjoy your setup and I am certain it will perform much better than the same plane with a gas engine. Mine was so stable in everything high alpha. Use either a PT models prop or a VESS prop. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the Info, I have a heavy 4 cell battery fromeco or flightpower, and I am running 9351's car servos heavy metal heatsinks and 198 oz of tork on the rudder wing servos and the throttle to get the weight up. I am running lighter hitec 9675's on the rudder at 169oz x 2. I am not to worried about the balance, I am going to put a heavy spinner and larger prop. I am excited about the Extra.
