craig77, I think it is 25.5 pounds (11.5kg) dry with the 85. It will haul the mail at 26.5 (12kg) on the DA-100. WrongWayRC, glad you're finding the thread useful.

Great build thread i just read it for the 1st time, I am considering a carden build but I am still working up the ballz to try it. Sorry about your spinner prob, I have been running CF spinners on my DA 50 w/o a problem IMO the best is the Mejzlik.

Repairs for the 2009 season have started. I won a $100 gift certificate from Carden Aircraft at the SC Regional Championships. I just wanted to thank them for that. I used it to get a new cowl and a J&J tail wheel. First job is to repair the damage someones flip flop did when it went through the turtle deck. I learned my lesson about cutting the foam, always cut with the curve. Anyway I save all the foam bits so I could put them back in if it came to this. Check out my clamps:

I'm not allowed to have a gun, lucky for the SOB that did it. Sure, but would the blow the whole thing up? The balloon was pretty gentle.
