I have a NIB 2.6m 102" Composite Arf Yak that I offered to a friend of mine at a bargain basement price. Neither of us have ever owned a Comp Arf. He is concerned with the factory recommendation that round plastic servo wheels be used with the supplied phenolic attachements. I thought plastic on a gasser this size was a no-no? What have you guys done on this or similar planes? ps: Does this plane 3D reasonably well? Any video besides the Mark Trent offering? Happy Holidays Bob

The 2.6 extra 300 that I'm building says to use metal out put disc, and your right.......NO PLASTIC. Or you can use SWB arms.......how ever, you cant use ball links with phenolic arms unless you double them on the controll surfaces.

2.6m 102" The manual on the Comp Arf site is using plastic. Is yours a Comp Arf kit?

What's the deal with the Yak manual then? Very confusing to say the least... Thanks for the replies. Maybe others will chime in with their experiences. I get the impression the 2.6 Yak wasn't/isn't very popular!

I know, this plane should have been done allready, but I was on linkage issues for a week and a half, the only thing I havnt modified on this plane is the landing gear and wheel pants, and I may end up changing that.............But there supposed to be real good flying planes.....we will see

Are you saying the quality of the Kit or hardware wasn't what you expected? What good is a $95 hardware package if you can't use it

You can use the metal servo wheels that airwild makes. Yes this plane 3d's awesome. It just takes a few tweaks to really improve roll rate. I shave 5/16 of an inch off the wing gap by the aileron. Also remeber to keep it light.

Can you elaborate on shaving the wing gap by the aileron? At the root of the aileron? What did you do to keep it light? Any video out there? Thanks Bob
