Default Comp ARF 2.6 330L Build

Well this is my New Years Resolution - to finish off my Comp ARF 2.6 meter Extra 330L which I have had for well over 12 month now. There is not much left to do on it. I have put the upgrade horn kit on, so I can run ball links. The landing gear and cowling is done. The canopy frame is sort of finished (I will be putting the Comp ARF 300SX canopy frame on it) Air vents are done.

In the last 2 days I have done more work on the plane then in the last 12 months. Just installed a SWB 2x servo tray W/self adjusting bellcrank & 3x onboard digital voltmeter. I’m on a roll…

Here are a few pics of my progress

Got a bit more done today finish off the support mount for the rudder tray adding a vertical stiffener underneath, with a doubler where the tray mounting screws will go then put a layer of žoz glass cloth over it (Idea stolen from rcdart & Chrisbchips thanks guys). Start the battery tray made up 2.5mm balsa I will do the same with putting a layer žoz glass cloth over it.

Well after a big night here is some of yesterday work got the battery tray and support mount for the rudder tray both fibre glass.

I have got a few of pic of my Fuselage cooling vents no my 2.3 and 2.6

I making the fuel tank tray removable due to the size of the tank tray and were it is it will be a great idea to make the tray removable. This way, maintenance is made a lot easier as when access it required. It is a very easy modification to make and certainly worth doing I will post pic of the soon…
