Hi all, just start to build my first EF 88'' YAK. I will install a DA50 and KS 1060 tunned pipe. I have question about the pipe tunnel. - first i will paint all the tunnel with thin coat of epoxy. - then do i have to put some aluminium foil protection inside ? i think it will be hot inside the tunnel if nothing in ? thanks for feedback and info about this pipe tunel preparation. i'm also interested if somebody can post pictures of KS 1060 installation . any tips welcome. I didn't use the K&S on mine but a MTW tuned pipe with my DA50R. I painted the TPipe & tunnel with grill paint - no reflective material:" is needed - just open up the covering for good air flow. I have read on another message board that the K&S will be a challenge compared to my MTW or the Pitts Style. See last post on page! (Note vane/baffle install modification too) http://whiteknuckleairlines.com/wkab...t=583&start=45 I did NOT rotate the carb on my DA and all works fine. Here is a pic how I set up throttle. Been working fine too.

Chris told me that they put a light coating of epoxy at the factory. My 88" Yak does have a light coat of something on it...I would assume epoxy..I am using the ES composites pipe and after about 30 flights...it appears to be holding up pretty well. Philip |

for jaguar bone : thanks for feedback, can you explain what you mean by " the K&S will be a challenge compared to my MTW " ? i still dont' have the tunned pipe, so if it is better to go with the MTW i can change my mind. thanks for your help. for Philip : thanks for info, so your lucky ! my YAK has no epoxy coat in the pipe tunnel, it is just simple dry balsa . So i will paint with RG epoxy for heat protection and also to get more stronger plate on other side (inside) to install regulator and battery paks. it's look this tunnel is very thin. Michel |

http://whiteknuckleairlines.com/wkab...t=583&start=45 Ask 'Doc' for details. He posts here too - but possibly not aware of your thread. MY install had no ill to report. POCake. (I used K&S on my SD EXTRA w/ DA50R and was also a great experience!) I noticed too that if you look at either one of then hard enough- they will dent!
