Default Pitts Python

Is anyone on here flying the Pitts Python, either the QQ or the Bob Trueworthy 41%, I'm interested in mostly the Trueworthy model. Thanks in advance.

There are quite a few threads on FG regarding the QQ Python. I found some information on Bob Trueworthy's plane here: http://www.bigairplanes.com/

Sweet! Re: Pitts Python

I'm flying this one http://www.chmodel.com/ProductShow.asp?ArticleID=188

Love it. Has a 3MM 53cc up front and flys like a dream.

Check out his web site, Chang is the manufacture. They are well priced.

Cheers

Sorry to bring this back up, but I was wondering if there's a US distributor for these planes yet... anybody have more info on them?

Hey Eli, is that a stock kit , or has it been modified like the one he did for QQ?

Thanks, it's not like QQ's plane nor it is stock, the mods are clipped wings and a single seat, I also have the 2 seat canopy, the Python is a one seater.
I have had it for a while, I fly it occasionally, it's a hangar queen but still my favorite.

Hi Ward
Here is a thread when I test flew it but that was with the 2 seater canopy, I later switched to a 1 seat.
I also had the spinner and prop painted since.

Snapasaurus' new toy..Pitts 12

Built Summer of 2006
Builder is Tom Mikalauskus from Ohio a great builder.
Wingspan a little over 100 inches
Engine is a DA 150 with K&S 1090 tuned pipes with plenty of power.
Covering is Ultracote with printed graphics by Bryan Zang from Aerographics.
Paint, I am not sure but it is very nice.

Elie,

I've got the 41% kit and was looking at either the 3W200 or 3W242 ... would you consider the additional hp a good investment for the extra weight?

Bill
