Don't let everyone make your mind up for you. Buy what appeals to YOU. After all, you're paying for it and stuck with it afterwards. Just so you know, I cast a vote fot the Aeroworks 260. I have never owned one but have flown a friends and it handles great.I have the 35% Aeroworks yak and the assembly and set-up was just stupid easy. Our club Pres. has the wild hare 260 and I helped some with the assembly and it was quite a bit more involved but seems to fly great and looks nice. I have no first hand knowledge of the others in your poll.

I had an Aeroworks yak 35%. It was easy to build. It flew great. On the 30th flight or so the left wing blew off the plane doing a snap.
They gave me $350 in product.
I would recommend the Aeroworks 35% extra. I could have saved the plane. Just wasnt thinking knife edge. Just stood there in shock.

Change of direction.

What if you could have a 40% plane that would be over powered with a DA 100, flew precision like it was on a wire and performed 3D with ease? What if that 40% plane was truly easy to fly and posed no problems with field size? What if that 40% plane cost about the same as most 35% aircraft, and still could be fit in the back of a full bed pick up? What if that 40% plane only required the same number of servos, or less, than most 35% planes? Now take that 40% to the field and note that you're the only one for miles around that has one, instead of having another one of the usual planes found at a field. Sound good?

Look at the new 40% Wild Hare Giles 202. For doing every and anything the G-202 is still one of the two best planes I've ever flown.

Now if you still want to go 35% and have a little time to kill, wait for the Wild Hare 35% Edge that will hit the streets in the next month or so. For straight 3D you just can't beat an Edge.

You're still stuck with making up your own mind though

I've beat mine (yak) to hell and back learning (still learning) 3D. It's been through a couple very hard blenders(and I mean hard) and every take off has a hard snap roll or two and it shows no sign of stress. I've looked into the wings with a mirror and flashlight to check for integrity. It's a tough bird. I think it could fly a little better but all in all, I went from hating it to really liking it. The extra does fly better though.

I was in the position and decided to go wiith the 40% WH Gilis. I hesitated between the EF 110 Yak but 29lbs with DA-100 is underpowered to fly advance IMAC with the BIG Yak-54 in my book and i fly at sea level.

Put the same engine in a 27lbs plane like the 40% Gilis with about the same wing area and less drag than the Yak and you have a winner.
