Hello! I have always been a favorite of the 100cc and larger planes but recently the 50cc bug has bit me hard. Affordability and ease of transortation are what really appeals to me. I have another thread on what cc plane to buy and all the emails and poll results indicate this market is strong. We have all seen enough Extras, Edges, and YAK 54's to make us see dots. Please do not get me wrong I still like those planes. We all know who Dawg House RC is and if you have not taken the time to view what they are offering, please do so! These guys have released a YAK 55SP ARF that I think will be the one of the hottest offerings very soon. I have the blue/red/white and a orange/black/white on the way. One plane will be powered with the TOC 53mm w/ stock muffler, and the other with the ZDZ 50NG w/ JMB cannister. Please take note of the price they are offering and give them a call for more details! Scott and Tim work very hard at returning e-mails and phone calls with enthusiasm. www.dawghouserc.net Photos coming soon... Regards, Perry PTS Last edited by PTS; 01-29-2008 at 03:02 AM. |

I might be interested, but the website won't let me look at anything other than the thumbnail pictures, can't see the planes, the engines, nothing. Can't get interested in a plane that all i can see is a small pic. Shame, good looking 55sp

This is one of three planes I'm considering buying this weekend. I'm going bargain basement so the choices are the H9 260 $380 shipped from Chief, the 30% Lanier Extra about $350 shipped from Tower and this one and I go get it. Which won't save but about $20 or $30 bucks on shipping but I'd get the plane Saturday. Oh what to do, what to do !

Go with Dawghouse! I have flown a couple H9 260s and they were a little small for a 50cc. Brought the wingloading up a bit too much. As for Lanier... havent flown this one myself, but I wasnt too impressed with what I saw. The Dawghouse birds look pretty sweet and are the right size for a 50.

I agree with Tank, I had one of the 260s. It was OK but small for a 50cc. I don't have any experience with the Lanier, but I have seen Dawghouse's Yak. I was very impressed with the quality of the airframe and the included hardware. I just bought one of there 68" Suhkois. The quality is great, I'm just waiting on the engine and servos to get it ready to fly.

I appreciate the imput, I don't want to hijack a thread but I haven't bought a new plane in over 10 years, although I have a few kits and one that was built but has not flown (the wings got run over, don't ask ) The Yak from DH is currently the front runner though. If I went with the H9 I would've put my Moki 1.80 in it. It flew my 15lb Midwest Extra pretty good and a 13lb plane would be just the ticket for it. I'll probably use a G-62 in the Yak since I have one, I'm checking out RC Ignitions lightening treatment for it.Looks like a rode trip Saturday! It will be so completely different to actually LOOK at the plane before buying it.
