| After many last-minute design refinements and much production delay, this 1st 40% airplane of ours is now finally shipping. Well ... we thought that it might be a refreshing change that a manufacturer actually comes forth and conduct a build thread / Q&A to share with the community every aspect of this fine airplane. No hype, no advertising, but just the real scoop, real information! ![]() ![]() ![]() It is NOT our intention to tell you how "well" something is done, but just how it is done. Hopefully with adequate amount of information provided you can form your own opinion about this airplane. If you have a question, we will do our best to answer it. All "constructive" comments and criticisms are welcome. But please do not post anything derogatory or unreasonably biased. We will ask forum administrator to remove all offensive posts. Remember, nothing is "absolute" ... and it goes both ways ![]() I've asked our good friend BRADYRC (Corey) to assist with this build. We will try to provide as many pictures or even short video footages as possible. Believe it or not ... considering this is being done in our spare time, we will try to complete this plane in time for the upcoming RC Exposition held in Toledo, OH, in early April. For those of you who might be coming to that "mother of all RC shows", be sure to stop by our booth and check out this plane in person. OK, enough talking and let's get on with the beef ![]() ![]() ![]() Airplane: AirWild 40% Sukhoi SU29 Wing Span: 123" Fuse Length: 110" Wing Area: 2875 sq. in. Est. Weight: 38~39 lbs. I got the call from the shippers yesterday morning saying they have a crate for delivery from Air Wild. When it was delivered we (Rex and I) immediately opened it up for inspection. The plane itself was packed in a heavy duty box inside the crate. So here it is the long time coming AW Sukhoi 29.........

Once I got everything home and placed out on the floor, I carefully inspected all of the parts and pieces that make up this bird. Tonight I will go over the components of the hardware package included with the Sukhoi.

You know i was talking to my buddy Ron Good just last weekend about this very same airplane. I was wondering when this thing was going to be released....looks like it finally did! Next year , "IF" i move up to a bigger airplane , this one is going to be high on the list of possible candidates. That Sukhoi looks awesome man!! Should do really well paired up with a new DA 170 if it ever gets released.

Now it's time to go through the hard ware box and display what comes with the Sukhoi. As seen in the picture a Dubro 50 oz fuel tank, Sullivan 5" wheels, Heavy Duty pin hinges, Velcro Tape, Graph Tech Carbon Fiber tail wheel assembly, Aero Trend Fuel Tubing, H9 Titanium Turn Buckles, HD Ball Link Clevices, Pull Pull 60 lb Cable and fittings, Fuel Filter, Dubro Axles, Fuel Dot and AW Rudder Servo Tray. Don't forget about the AW Wing Pak wing bags!!! |
