Default Please Check Your Tailwheel assemblies

I lost the production Yak55sp Sunday due to a hard over Rudder situation in 3d mode. After picking up the remains we troubled shooted the situation and found a item of interest. Make sure you have a wheel collar below the tailwheel bracket just above the bend in the tail wheel wire. We found if driven up far enough this may bind and lock the rudder hard over. I am not sure if this was the cause as everything was normal upon inspection but can't hurt to check. I only had a Futaba 5050 on the rudder so it may not have had enough to pull it out of this position in a bind.
I will tell you one thing try coming out of a spin and finding it to be locked, not fun that is for sure....
Scott

Damn the luck man. I note I DO have a wheel collar there and I'm sure the instructions indicated this. If I knew where they were I would confirm. I looked at it hard trying to figure out why some collars had steps and some don't.

Thanks for the heads up.

P.S. Looking for a box by the weekend !! And bill the card when I spend I want the money gone before "life happens".
