After picking up all the tiny pieces of my H9 27% Extra 260 last Sunday (stacked it in after the Rx batt failed), I've decided the replacement needs to be a Yak. Luckily, my DA50 wasnt damaged, so I just need a new airframe now. I've narrowed it down to three choices; the Aeroworks QB 88" Yak, the Extreme Flight 88" Yak, or the TOC1 Yak. I've read the ads, checked out the websites, now I need to hear from some of you who fly or have flown these. I dont do any SERIOUS 3D stuff yet, mostly IMAC and basic 3D manuevers (still learning some of that stuff!). In short... HELP!!!! |

Dont forget about QQ Aircraft, my 35% flies like it s on rails, it is more "pattern-ish", than the others, but You cant go wrong with any of these choices...JMO Look hard at AW's QB, it is super fast to assemble and easy. My buddy has the 35% and its very good.

I have flown the Aeroworks QB Yak and I own the EF 88" Yak---no comparison IMO..The EF is bigger, looks nicer and flies better...both are good companies to deal with but again IMO its not even close---My second choice would no doubt be the QQ.

Had the QB and flown the Toc1 liked the toc1 the best. You might think about the Wild Hare Sukoi honda scheme I like the way a Sukio flys best.

I would try and take a look at the PAU yak 50cc. They look nice and are really light airplanes with DA 50. They fly great IMAC and great 3d. harv

I've got the TOC yak now, and had the QQ a couple years ago. The QQ didn't fly anywhere near as well as the TOC. I thought it was just me, so I passed the TX around to my buddy who had also flown my QQ, and he agreed as well.

I had a chance to fly my friend's Extreme Flight Yak 88" and was very impressed on how it flew. Don't think you would be disappointed.
