Well here it is! After 3 years of on and off work "It is Finished!" This is one of those Mike Hurley Model Aviation Extra 330L. I am pleased with the way it turned out. I got the foam, glass and plans from someone of another website long ago for like $200.00 bucks. All of the wood was scratched built, the gear and tube are from a carden 35%er.... I am not creative enough to think of a new scheme so I am re doing the scheme of my 40% carden that had structural failure 1.5 years ago. All I need are the graphics from Aerographics. I am maybe going to maiden it tomorrow morrning. I will get some better pic in the daylight instead of in my basement.... m&m.jpg Hurley.jpg The yellow plane was my old Carden, The Oarnge is the new one... Ric |

I have to get an accurate weight, my bathroom scale is saying 27lbs. I put a 3W 106 in it for power I got from a friend for $600.00. I put 1 5955 on the surfaces, 2 5955 on a pull-pull for the rudder. I also went with those abc678 packs from Fromeco for the reciever. I am running Spektrum with a single AR7000 on my DX7. I am very pleased with the build. I built it like a Carden/Godfrey/Dalton... The Incedence are all right on and so is the Trammle. I did put the tabs on the Stabs with anti-rotation pins. Hopefully the failure I had before won't happen again. ![]() Ric |

When you take it out for the maiden, I'd be interested in some more pics ![]() I'm planning on one rudder servo in the tail. This will be mounted on the bottom of the fuse 'ala Walt's method. J. |

I was going to run 1 servo for the tail but I decided to run 2 for holding power. I was under the impression that once a servo has been "on" for some time 3-7 seconds it reduces its power output severly. Therefore I placed two servos for the tail. I will get some better pics tomorrow. I ll get some of the inside too. I am happy with it I hope it flies well...... Ric |

I got them from a guy on RCU 3+ years ago.... I have several copies (3). I used to work for a construction company and I copied some on the plan copier.... I may even have them digitised as well....

Well it flew today! and it all went well. no missing pieces. It flew a little tail heavy so I need to move the batteries around. Motor was a little rich so I will fix that too. It is a 3w so at least is stayed running....... ![]() Here are few better pics: Hurley1.jpg Hurley Bottom.jpg Hurley Dash.jpg Hurley Pose.jpg Now I just need to Practice my sequence, look out young punks in Sportsman this year.....
