Question C-ARF Extra 260 2.6m with 3W-106iB2 ??

As I've already got a 3W-106 I was wondering if it fits the C-ARF Extra 260 2.6m without converting the cowl into a Swiss cheese. (http://www.composite-arf.com.hk/ar/Popup?mid=757)

I know from the C-ARF manual that a DA100 fits perfectly, however the 3W-106 is what I've got here and it's 125mm deep (without carb horn intake) while the DA is about 112mm.

To avoid breathing problems based on turbulence and warm air, in the past I always ran the engine with the carb horn fitted which then turns out to be around 186mm deep (carb horn intake adds about 60mm). This might be just a tad bit too large and might require cutting of the cowl on the Extra 260, something I would like to avoid.

Unfortunately Rep and C-ARF were unable to provide a clear answer to my question as they do not have this combo at their factory.

Can anyone who owns this combination please comment if the engine fits under the cowl or otherwise post your solution with the 3W106?!

My mate has this combo and from memory it does stick out
the bottom of the cowl . His 260 looks very neat and you
will be stoked with the performance . I cant find any pic's
but you can be pretty sure its not going to fit fully in the cowl .
