Default QQ 102" Yak finished and blinged-up!!

Here's my Yak:
4" TT spinner (lightened)
mejz 27X10
BME 110 on stock muffs
3-2400 Fromecos
Smart-fly ignition cutoff
5245 digi mini on throttle
5945's on ailerons
5955's on elevators
one 5955 on rudder
20 oz main tank with a 6 0z header tank up front for positive fuel feed an more importantly useable ballast for CG (believe me I needed it!)
Graphtech main gear
No smoke, no pilot, no powerboxes or batt share or even matchboxes or choke servo or other dead weight and it is FAT!!! Tipped the scale at 25 pounds and a couple ounces I was origionally around 24-1/4, but I was way tailhevay and had to add the spinner and wheelpants, move the engine forward 3/16" and all the batteries forward to the point that they almost rub up against the front of the cowl!
I did the maiden flight, though, at 6,000 feet with a BLOODY rich BME, and it still had enough power to do the intermediate sequence easily, but pogo-sticking torquerolls might be out of the question, especially once I fly it at my home field at 6800 feet!
The plane flew well, though, overall, but I have some small bugs to work out of it - no biggie though!

I had to baffle the engine, being a BME, which was a chore! The precut hole up front was off by about 20 degrees, so I had to trim it out which opened it up even more, making it difficult to cut enough holes out on the bottom for enough air exhaust. I ended up opening the bottom as if I had cannisters in it so the air can flow through the pipe tunnel.
This was kind of an experimental job with two layers of CF that I bagged over a simple mold ( a piece of aluminum sheet with a 90 degree radiused bend in it). It seems to be working fine - temps are about 200 in the air right now.

Here's the business end. This was before having to hang all the batteries off of pine rails bolted to the egnine box, and before moving the engine forward...

Here's the radio install. Not much to it since everything is up under the cowl!

Thanks Texx, Vortex, and Shortbus! Those are the work of Aerographix. The FG logo is way cool! That is not just chrome - it's holographic, kinda color-changing chrome!

Thanks.
The bugs are minor. It's hard to get precise trims on the elevators when your geometry is set up for 3D but your dual rates are around 30% to get the recommended low rates, so it displayed some wierd pitch behavior for precision stuff and I am hoping that had something to do with it. Plus I was way tailheavy on the first flights which surely didn't help. I can tell you that snaps are some of the best I have seen and rolls are quite axial. Didn't do much more than that for the first flights though...3D stuff will come in the next few flights!
