Default Deitrich 75cc Extra 260

Guys, I'm looking for anyone who may have dealt the this particualr plane. I'm flying the AW 50cc 260 with a DA. Very pleased with the capabilities, but want to move into something a little bigger, that won't require me to buy a trailer to move it. The supporting equipment is a no brainer, but can't find any background on the Deitrich plane itself, I can't find out if it carries the same quality of build that you can get with the Aeroworks line. I'd like to hear from anyone who might have knowledge of this line of planes and their quality.Attachment 120353

Build quality is GREAT. With the exception of the hardware. It has a good STRONG fuselage. Mine arrived 7 months after order. AND,,, was the wrong scheme.

By most reports on rcu, it was not worth the ridiculously long wait. Almost everyone has said they tossed th supplied hardware because it was junk. The scheme they signed up for was not the one they got, either. Many have stated that they should have just gone with the aeroworks.
Now, the aeroworks does tend to tip the scales in the 23 pound range, and Dietrich states around a 20 pound finished weight. If their claims hold true then they may have an advantage there. Then again, its pretty easy to get the aeroworks to around 21.5 pounds with a little carbon fiber - I got mine down to 20.9 pounds with a cannister.

The build is real good, the only thing on the hardware that is being changed are the control rods and the end going to the servo (replacing with a ball end). other than that everything is great. Bodyworks, the TFC brethren flew it last Sunday, the plane AUW is 19.4 with the ZDZ 80 in it and 19.8 with the 3W & DA, the roll rate is sick and it 3D's awesome. SHowtime, Myrh and Ron flew it and loved it, gave great reviews.

2 of the 3 videos have been posted from the Dietrich throw down on 8/10/08. We even had a few come up from the SD area to play.
