Trying to work out what would be a good airframe to suit this motor. Was thinking 3.3m comp arf yak or 3.5m extreme comp edge 540. Any other ideas would love to hear. Cheers. |

I had a 3.3 CompARF Yak on a 3W 200TS. With the right prop it was a very good combination. I have no experience with the Exteme Composite Edge. I have seen some threads on the FG that indicate it finishes out sort of heavy. I'm sure my YAK weighed in the high 40's |

IF the 3W 210 twin is RELIABLE and it puts out the power it should for it's size... The Composite-ARF 3.3 meter Yak 55SP is THE PERFECT airplane ! I have seen them with ZDZ 210's and there is NO lack of power. Also with a 3W 212 4-cylinder that had pleny of power wand was reliable. I have had and seen 3.3 Yak's on DA-150's and they weigh 42-45 lbs typically with the DA-150. They have GOOD power with the DA-150 on tuned pipes. Many complain they can't do unlimited upline snaps with this combo though. (This problem is solved with the 200cc engines though !) I don't know what the weight is with a 210 or 212 though. i love my compy yak!!!! it is the straightest arf i've had. i have literallly zero mixing in mine. i bet the edge will have a little more of a coupling issue than the yak. just my $.02.
