Lately there has been alot of discussion about Big biplanes here and there. Alot of interest is showing up with QQ's newest toy the "Ti-12". He brought out his custom built 44% Pitts "Python" w/ DA200 on the nose back in '06 at the Joe Nall fly in, and now he has another custom built..." Pitts Ti-12" w/ DA200 on the nose he debut this year at a contest. Now there is alot of buzz on this plane and Kevin Kimble came on a thread and cleared up some confusion between these two airplanes. On their website , an article states that QQAC is the only RC company with rights to make a model of this plane based on their full scale Ti-12, noone at QQAC is saying that they are building one, but I figured if we can generate enough interest in these two planes maybe, just maybe someone will step up and make one available. But what size? Well there is an abundance of small Bipes out there and QQ did a awesome job with the 100cc version of the PYTHON, the H9 46% Ultimate has been around forever, Comp-Arf has an M-12, and now we have the ACE/TT standard Pitts m-12 out. IMHO, I think its time for another BIG BIPE to hit the Market, and my vote is for either the QQ Python or a Ti-12. Lets hear from all of you and let us know what you all think. Also Bob Trueworthy and "Big Airplanes .com" doesnt seem to be around anymore, so it seems that a Trueworthy kit is no longer available to even build our own and make the mod's like he did for QQ to make either version. Come on Bro's lets hear it and see if we can convince someone to bring us another BIG Biplane to the market.

I to Love the big bipes ..I am lucky enough to have a 42% Godfrey Ultimate , new ,unmolested , my fear is that someone will think that it is just another H9 , nothing wrong with the H9 ,just Not the same . I would Love to see another 150+cc bipe come to the market and have the option to run fuse mufflers or pipes without having to rebuild the hole fuse . At this day and age the manufacturer has to realize the need for that . my $.02

Yeah I saw this one earlier this year and have tried numerous times to get with him as I live near the dist. But it is a standard m12, and I dont do flying wires. JMO

The main interest here is 40% or bigger, not the 50cc nor 100cc, there are plenty of those available.

True enough, but be that as it may, not everyone can afford the vehicle/trailer to haul the 40%ers around, so the 50/100cc sizes appeal to a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't, because they couldn't- like myself at present.

I always thought the QQ Python was beyond badass, but went with the Yak for my first giant. Never flown a bipe so I wasn't going to experiment on my first venture into giant scale. I've always wanted a bipe just for the sake of having one, and have been eyeing the QQ Python for quite some time- until I saw the Ti-12. I for one would love to see that in a 100cc size because I could get away with hauling that in my truck- a 150cc+ is just out of the question right now.

And no, I will not buy a bigger truck just to haul a plane :P At least not just yet

I would love to see a big (40%+) bipe from QQ. I just ordered the TT TOC Pitts M12 and I am hoping it is as nice as it looks in the pictures. Its a big gamble as no one knows anything about it. There is no manual, no CG, no flight reports, no recommended engine, etc (just some nice pictures!) Shows you how bad I have to put in the investment on a total unknown.

My 100cc Python is fantastic - in fact it flies better than my 40% 3W Extra 330 IMO. But bigger would be even better.

My TOC arrives tomorrow. I will be doing a build thread. I have pretty much decided on the ZDZ160 Super with T-80 canisters and 29x14x3 ZM prop. I may change my mind once I see (and weigh) the plane but based on the Truworthy Pitts flying well on DA150's with pipes I think it will be a good match. I was going to go 3W but based on my experience with my ultra-reliable ZDZ Super 80 I decicded to go this way. (Honestly a lot of the 3W horror stories scared me off.)

If I really like this one and QQ doesn't come out with a bigger Python or Ti12 I may go with a Comp-Arf in a couple of years. The cost is very high though for the composite planes. I know you get what you pay for (I own 3 composite planes) - but really its a lot in one airframe when you get this big.

If Bob starts cutting kits again that will be great too. A big project but well worth it. There is just something great about a bipe. If you have one where the coupling is managable (like the QQ Python) they are just magic. Very smooth, graceful and a joy to fly.

The AW Ultimate has been "in the works" for quite some time.. I thought it was supposed to be out by now. I would like to see it... I've had 4 of their planes, all were truly winners.

I've got the H9 46% Ultimate now, flies like a trainer, lands like a simulator!

That sounds like a great marketing point for manufacturers. I'm sure it would work!
