Default EF Yak 88 Exhaust

I see in the manual for canister option, can you some how retro fit a Pitts style muffler? I really don't what to use a canister...

yea dude you can put whatever exhaust you want on that yak, if you want to use a pitts style just mount your engine up, put the cowl in place and measure how far from the engine exhaust port the pitts muffler stacks need to go to exit the cowl. Then go buy the correct size muffler put it on your engine and cut the cowl to allow the mulffler stacks to exit. Like I did on my EF extra.

Check out slimline pitts mufflers and check out troy built models for pitts mufflers.

I should warn you that if your airframe is getting close to an all up weight of 18 lbs you may not be happy with the performance of a pitts muffler on a DA 50. Most of them drop 250 to 500 RPM out of the engine. Trust me I switched to a tuned pipe set up.

looking at the manual for that airframe a slimline pitts muffler for a 50CC engine will work fine, all you need to do is cut the cowl.
