Default New H9/Carden Yak

Just this weekend I got to see this plane upclose and fly it. It flies excellent, not at all what I expected from a 50cc plane. BUT... my question and concern is the wing tube, it was odd looking right off, just wondering as to why it is so short. It would seem as though a larger WS would call for a longer wing tube, especially on a foam core wing. JM2cents....
